Alaskan artist Jamie Smith is the creator of the “Nuggets” cartoon feature that has run continuously for over twenty-five years in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, along with numerous other publications across the state, and also appearing in several volumes of his collected works. He does freelance work, sketches everywhere he goes, and teaches drawing courses at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
