Looking for new ways to see the world. I've been painting for years and always interested in photography, having a darkroom for black and white prints. Love the outdoors and my beloved Yorkshire Dales, which I try to capture whenever I can.

Testimonials

I am always amazed by Terry's images. I find that his strength is to capture the raw authenticity of the outdoors without compromising the aesthetics. It is easy in landscape photography to end up with either kitsch or, let's say, geographical realism. This never seems to happen to Terry, and that's no mean feat.

I have been visiting Terry’s photos for almost a year now and I have fallen in love with his work. As of July 7, 2013, Terry has almost 400 photos to hit Explore and as only a modest man would, mentioned nothing of it except to correct me when I grossly understated it. But we really don’t need for Terry to collect his photos into an Explore set because every one of Terry’s photos is just that good. Well, there was this one shot of E.T. in his kitchen, but that was a long time ago. Kinda like the Virgin Mary on a cheese sandwich, thing. Just proves that he does have a sense of humour and not just all rugged outdoorsman. Terry is not only a top-notch photographer, but is also a watercolor artist and has a set with 60 of his fabulous watercolors – my favorite being “Enjoying a Pint” which has to be his Scottish heritage shining through. This is one great hangout. But the man works very hard to keep it that way. Thank you so much, Terry.

If heaven is a place on earth, Terry has captured it many times but especially in Skye. Utterly compelling images that tell stories all of their own. Truly, a master of landscape photography that is inspirational to say the least. A local lad too :)

I have followed Terry's stream for quite a while now and am amazed both at his stamina in doing the walking he must do, and by his ability to capture the essence of the Yorkshire Dales in his photography. I have followed Terry's stream for quite a while now and am amazed both at his stamina in doing the walking he must do, and by his ability to capture the essence of the Yorkshire Dales in his photography. He is obviously at one with his subject and the love shines through in his photos, which are captured with the eye of an artist. Each frame he takes could easily be rendered in paint and it is no coincidence that he is no mean watercolourist himself!

I have followed Bingleyman2's photographic images for just under a year or so leaving the occasional comment. What I admire about his photography is how he incorporates culturally man made elements of Yorkshire together with moments of supreme natural beauty of his beloved region. Writing a testimonial for someone is simply to say I like what you do and simply not to expect any type of favor in return. Actually I am amazed that I am the first person to write a testimonial for him. There is no question that he his generous in praise of others efforts on the Flickr scene and he shows a wonderful sense of Yorkshire humor. Keep it going Bingleyman2...... you are doing a terrific job for your region.
