I have been an artist since I was able to hold a brush or pencil! Growing up in rural Wisconsin with a Grandmother who was an artist and a gardener on her country farm inspired me in a love for all things cottage and floral. I have worked freelance and as a small business owner for 33 years in handprinted furniture and mural work through the mid 1980's and 1990's, then on to a very successful graphic design career that lasted 20 years at one greeting card company (Laurel Ink) during which time I won a Louie Award for a children's birthday invitation card. The past 10 years I have devoted my spare time to designing fabrics and wallpapers. I use my surface patterns to adorn my own cottage as well as license out to fashion houses, designers and soft home furnishing companies, and to the individual home seamstress for her special projects!
