My life:
After a busy career that spanned three decades and sent me all over the world, I retired from the U.S. Army in 1999 and became a Houston businesswoman. At the ripe age of six years old or so, I decided to destroy communism as an organized source of evil. Well, somebody had to do it, and I needed a lot of help from others to achieve my goal. Having gotten that out of the way, I couId get on with the rest of my life. Let it be known that I do not live to work: I work to live and live to love. Love is God's greatest gift to us in all its diverse forms. For me to find love and give my love to the world, my life has had to go through a lot a changes that most people cannot even imagine.
I am a matron of the Fine Arts and particularly enjoy the Houston Symphony Orchestra, a local ensemble called Mercury Baroque, and a world class chamber music group at Rice University called Context in Music. I am also a community activist, Rock & Roll groupie, railfan, world traveler, N scale model railroader, gourmet cook, nature lover, and femme fatale. I also consider myself to be a scientist and priestess but do not work in those fields.
I know enough German to get me around Central Europe and meet people and just enough Spanish, French, and Latin to vaguely understand some text and get around as a tourist but not enough to really converse. I was stationed in southern Germany in the 1970's and explored that area plus the neighboring countries. The origin and evolution of Indo-European languages and people is another one of my interests.
My photos:
My pictures include fashion photos of me, party and Girls Night Out pix, and photos taken by me and others to support my Yahoo blog. Many of my blog articles advocate rail mass transit, intercity passenger rail, and Transit Oriented Development / Traditional Neighborhood Development. I am a community activist for those causes, particularly in the Houston, Texas area, and I am very passionate about improving our quality of life. The military articles in my blog support a strong but sane national defense. In addition to my own photos, I place a few PUBLIC DOMAIN photos taken by government agencies and a few photos taken by friends here in order to transfer them to my blog. My Flickr photostream also contains photos of my girlfriend and pictures that she takes of me. My Girls' Night Out set has party photos taken by others as well to document my social life.
I hope to eventually digitize my vast collection of 35mm slides of my travels taken in my younger years and post the best of them here.
If anyone STEALS my photos, I will take action against you and have Flickr delete MY photos from your photostream and urge them to delete your account. I hold the EXCLUSIVE COPYRIGHT to MY PHOTOS and you may not post them online without my permission.
My rules:
I do NOT accept Flickr contacts with BLANK PROFILES that tell me nothing about the person or photostreams that do not have recognizable photos of them. HEADLESS or FACELESS or empty /blocked photostreams will be rejected and probably blocked, so do not put me on your list if you are not willing to comply. You can certainly see my photos without putting me on your list. My friends in real lfe and online are real people with real lives.
If you fave a bunch of my photos without leaving comments, I consider that rude and will block you. If you leave rude, indecent, or trolling comments, I will block you.
The human body is a beautiful creation of God that is meant to be enjoyed and shared with others, but I do not want to see your private parts online. Keep your little pee-pee to yourself. I am NOT sexually attracted to men, and I have a special relationship with a special Lady. This means NO MEN unless I already know you or we have a common interest in a nonsexual subject; otherwise, you will be blocked. Please do not waste your time or mine if you cannot comply with my requests. Thank you.
