After years of assessing and curating other people's photos for work, I've decided to try my hand at photography. Given that I use analog recording equipment (8-track etc), and prefer vinyl records I was immediately drawn to the limitations/possibilities of film. I shoot a variety of different film types, 35mm on my Canon 1V and EOS 500, and my Contax G1 rangefinder, and I use a Hasselblad X-Pan for panoramic shots and a Pentax 645N and Hasselblad 500C for medium format. I prefer Ilford HP5 for black and white (Delta 3200 for gig photography) and TX400 for medium format, and I use Velvia for slides and Portra for colour negs. I do shoot digital for ease and speed and when I do I use a Canon 6D or my beloved Fuji X100S.
