I am an agriculture graduate. I am passionate about nature photography and conservation of wildlife. Birding and bird photography is my focal area of interest. I have photographed more than 700 species of birds and my life-list has more than 740 species of birds from various parts of Indian Subcontinent. My wildlife and nature photographs have been awarded at state and national level competitions.

I have combined my passion with my profession by opening my own birding site in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. I have named it as “Camp Milieu - A Birding Paradise” (www.milieuhospitality.in) to show flying wonders of this region to the bird and nature lovers across the globe.

I have started bird, wildlife and nature photography with a digital camera of Sony (DSC H-5) in 2008 followed by a DSLR of Nikon (D3000) and now I am using Nikon D5100 with Sigma 150-500mm.

I impart training on birding and organizes bird watching camps for birds and nature enthusiasts. I have created an Uttarakhand specific birding group on facebook to spread awareness on avian wonders of the state which is known as “Birds of Uttarakhand” with more than five thousand members.

I am a master trainer of Community Based Tourism and specializes in homestays management. One of my remarkable works in the field of community based tourism is development and promotion of homestays in Jim Corbett’s own Village- Chhoti Haldwani near Corbett Tiger Reserve. It is one of the most successful modules of community based tourism initiatives in Uttarakhand state.

In my profession and passion, I follow Jim Corbett’s words “Leave nothing but footprints; take nothing but pictures”.
