A lifelong photographer, hiker and recent birder. In the early 1970s, I learned photography and dark room skills at DeAnza College and then roamed the country/world with a Honeywell Pentax 35mm camera (purchased at an army PX by a friend) capturing my adventures. In the late 1990s, I moved into the digital era with various Olympus and Canon point and shoot models. In 2005 before a trip to Africa, I upgraded to a Canon EOS 20D with several kit lenses. Now that I'm birding, that was outdated and I upgraded in 2018 to a Canon 7D with a 100-400mm lens. I have been extremely happy with this combo.
