Gary Gum is a professional registered nurse and freelance photographer. Gary’s nursing background includes work as an adult critical care nurse, nurse educator, and nursing administrator. Gary holds a Master of Nursing degree and is a trained Faith Community Nurse. He first became interested in photography during the 1980s as a travel nurse to capture the beauty of the local areas around the hospitals where he worked.

Today, Gary works as an academic/healthcare consultant. In addition to photography, his passion is working with graduate nurses as they prepare to take their nursing licensure exam. Gary continues to pursue and study photography through RV trips with his wife, Marie, and their herd of Cocker Spaniels from their vista overlooking the Rio Grande River and throughout the Southwest, Midwest, or wherever their adventures take them.
