I inherited an original Kenner Blythe Doll from my wonderful Grandma Dorothy and didn’t know that she is a rare gem of a doll for a long time.

I slowly learned about the wonderful Blythe Doll mystique and history, and now I love showing her to the world in clothes that my Grandmother handmade or had from the 1970's. My Grandmother Dorothy collected dolls by rescuing them from the trash, garage sales or church basements, wherever dollies were abandoned. She would clean them up, make clothes for them, and display them in her “Doll Room” (basically a large closet that my Grandpa tolerated her taking over ) in their small farm house in Iowa. I named the Blythe Doll ‘Dorothy’ after my Grandma.

Then I won another Blythe doll named ‘Zyanya Remembers’ in a Facebook Blythe doll photo contest from a super generous collector named Julie, and we have been having twice the fun ever since !

I love taking photos, and have loved photography my whole life, so was thrilled to find such a fun groups of Blythe doll photo enthusiasts :)

I also started a YouTube Channel when I was bedridden years ago with cancer, and it has a few short films of her pictures at Blythe@BlytheKennerDoll which has been a lot of fun, but be warned, it’s very amateur and just silly amusement 😁
