BASICS

- All images here which I've set to Flickr's 'moderate' or 'restricted' safety levels are NSFW (though I suppose it depends what your work is, and whether, like many people these days, you are working from home, in which case, I guess these images are also NSFH, especially if there are young kids around you.

- If you see anything here which you personally object to, or if you're under-age (18), please browse elsewhere.

- This is my prime upload site for my erotic photos, but I also post samples on Model Folio and PurplePort as they are useful model-hosting sites.

CONDITIONS AND PERMISSIONS

- Apart from my shouty grumble above, I have avoided dire warnings, aggressive ultimatums, and big shouty threats in capital letters (and I wish others wouldn't do that either). I see uploading photos and sharing them as fun and hope viewers see them in this way too.

- ALL my posted photos are on public view. What you see is what you get. I don't have any photos in private, or just for 'friends' so there's no point in asking me about that!

- For this reason, I mostly only follow, or return 'follows' with, people who have public photos themselves.

- Please feel free to browse, fave, comment, etc. in whatever unconditional way you like, but do please try to be courteous, informative, funny or thoughtful.

- Unless otherwise indicated, my copyright default is 'all rights reserved'. If you want to use any of my photos in a publication or website, please contact me first. It may also depend on the model.

'SAFETY LEVELS'

- Flickr's conditions require us to use their code of safe / moderate / restricted, and I try to follow this as best I can, though I admit I don't always find it easy to interpret 'moderate' consistently.

- Viewers are free to see my photos as erotic, pornographic, sexy, risqué, raunchy, titillating or just arty, as they wish. Such words are not mutually exclusive and are used differently by different people according to their culture, religion, morals and ethics. The meaning and usage of these words merges or overlaps, and as far as I can see, they cannot be rigidly or technically distinguished in any useful or objective way. Serious government and educational advisers have admitted as much in my own country, though the moralisers and prudes still continue to try and impose their own prejudices on others (One woman's 'male gaze' is another woman's 'body-positive empowerment'). Anyway, please don't post comments objecting to my photos on these kinds of grounds.

- While on principle I'm totally tolerant of other people's sexual preferences and habits in the wider world, I'm an older 'straight' male myself. So I am not really interested in photostreams (often selfies) of cross-dressed men, transgender anatomy, anatomy of male arousal, extreme bondage and people just having sex. Although I rarely block anyone, I'm unlikely to interact with Flickr members of this kind, and would prefer them not to follow me.

EXPERIENCE AND EQUIPMENT

- I'm an older amateur photographer living in the UK, and have been doing photography for work, family and fun, ever since the era of simple bellows cameras with roll-film, and home dark-rooms..

- I have modest but good quality SLR camera equipment, and more recently, I've been using a mirrorless body. But I often use a phone camera when I don't want to carry a camera with me, or as a back-up.

- In general I like to 'travel light' and use just two, occasionally three, lenses to ensure flexibility.

- I use flash occasionally but have no lighting equipment.

- I prefer to use natural light, either outdoors or in buildings with reasonable to good natural light conditions, and my lenses are mostly fast enough to perform well in interiors.

PROCESSING

- I currently use mostly Aperture and Lightroom for editing, but as many people here will know, Apple ceased to support for their Aperture some years ago (how infuriatingly inconsiderate of them!).

- I will go on using Aperture for as long as it works without problems but it's only compatible with the operating system on my (older) computer. (Apple's claim that its Photos app is a good replacement for Aperture is self-evident nonsense and corporate hype.

- Photos was aimed at phone-users for their 'snappies' has little to recommend it for serious amateurs or professionals, apart from 'on the spot' editing of phone photos and iCloud storage.

- Some of the photos here are my scans of my older prints or transparencies so there are no exif data for the originals.

STYLE AND GENRES

- I like to create contrast-based risqué and erotic images using locations and backdrops not usually associated with erotic photography, like studios, boudoirs, bedrooms, etc. However, I'm currently new to studio photography and enjoying that too.

- If my models are wearing clothing, i like to make something of everyday casual or smart-casual wear because I think this adds to the eroticism of the poses. (I suffer from the common male obsession of wanting to know what a woman is wearing (if anything|) underneath her outer clothing!)

- I also like clothing, like hiking-wear (e.g. 'skirt-hiking') which is not usually associated with erotic photography.

- I sometimes like to use or imply a story line so do please enjoy reading my descriptions when I provide them.

- Until recently, apart from some 'street' shots and agreed photos of strangers, I have posted very few photos here which include faces. Apologies for this. I realise that faces are usually an important part of people photography, and I like portraiture, but the issue for my erotic photos is about anonymity and protecting families and the day jobs of those concerned.

- However, I have recently started to do shoots with pro-models for the first time, and this has made it possible for me to include faces.

Similarly if you are an amateur model or someone who would just like to try some modelling. My default locations are SE England and East Midlands. But I do travel too, and I'm open to suggestions.
