I'm an amateur photographer from Flanders, the flat part of Belgium, which may explain why I love landscapes with mountains. I travel through Europe regularly and the subject of my photos will mainly be the countryside and flowers in European countries, as well as houses or villages that look authentic or picturesque to me. I love animals too, but don't expect macros: animals will usually be shown in their habitat.

The description under my photos often explains why I took or chose them, as for example in my 'Isles of Scilly' and 'Waterton Lakes'-albums.

My native language is Dutch (Nederlands), but I can comment in English, German and French, and I understand some Spanish. I started taking photos when I was 12, with a Voigtländer. Later on, I used a Kodak P850 and a Pentax. Now I use a Panasonic FZ200, which is very handy when you are walking. I don't photoshop my pictures.
