When I was just starting to get interested in photography I trawled the internet and came across a butterfly image on flickr. I was astonished at the detail the photographer was able to capture. I promptly bought a bridge camera and used that for a couple of years. I managed to get some reasonable images with it but recognised it's limitations and so the journey had well and truly begun! Over the next 25 or more years travel became a bit of an obsession and it seems that wildlife photography developed into an obsession too. I can't think of anything better than combining both activities. I enjoy posting on Flickr and admire my friends astonishing photographic skills…they are an inspiration!
