Now that I'm retired I can pursue my passion to photograph wild birds. I'm actually passionate about all aspects of natural history. As a birder and naturalist I believe it is essential to know as intimately as possible the animals and plants of one's backyard (ie. home area). But it is exciting and rewarding to visit places different from one's home turf.
