I started taking photographs at an early age, with a very basic manual camera and came through the 35mm film era knowing the importance of considering composition, focus and exposure in order to save wasted film and lost images. What a breakthrough when picking up a DSLR and finding the immediate check and retake opportunities allowed a more relaxed approach. The discipline of using a manual camera, however, resulted in consideration of scenes in terms of composition, form and colours, before taking the picture.

At present I take photographs for an auction house and am working on improving my skills using lighting and photoshop to produce catalogue images.
