I have been a keen photographer since I was 11 and given my first Agfa 126 instamatic camera. I still have some of the old black and white prints and colour slides I took way back then.

Skip ahead some 20 years or so progressing from the old instamatic to a fixed lens 35mm and a few Pentax, then Nikon 35mm SLRs and I started working as a professional photojournalist in the Australian print media.

My first few breaks came as a freelance photojournalist and then I took a brief detour in to academia.

I have been a staff newspaper photographer working in regional Australia for the last 15 years.

I have only recently taken up wildlife photography as a serious extension of my professional work and truly love it. Surprisingly, I find there are almost as many similarities with news photography as there are differences.

I joined Flickr in November 2015 and my photos are predominantly of wildlife with a few rusty cars (another subject I enjoy finding and photographing) and photos from editorial assignments thrown in when I feel the urge.

Thankyou for taking the time to read my profile and I hope you enjoy looking at my photos.
