While most credit college for helping them find their professions, filmmaker Nick Friend only discovered his love for film as a mistake after accidentally registering for a documentary film class. It was this mix up that jump-started his career in the industry and fueled his passion for film. Since making the transition to professional film maker in 2013, he has worked on projects such as “Terminator: Genesys,” “Jurassic World,” and “Planet of the Apes,” as well as television shows like “Top Chef” and HBO’s “Togetherness,”. Now based in New Orleans, Nick appreciates an organic approach to filmmaking and uses thoughtfully designed scenes, invisible camera movement, and natural light as the key points in his works. When he’s not behind the lens, he enjoys cooking and exploring the world with his beloved girlfriend.
