When Beverley knocks her own work, saying something isn't good quality, I have to chuckle a little! Her work is among the best I've seen on Flickr! Whether taking shots of the dramatic Australian coastline, misty scenics, impressive wildlife shots, or her precious standard poodle, Ash, the attention to detail, focus, color and artistry of Beverley's shots is top notch. While her work can be appreciated by the best photographers on Flickr, it is also revered by people like me, who love photo art, and manipulation, since her photos are the definition of photographic art in its purist sense! It IS artistry when a photograph transcends what the eye sees and takes us into the realm of feeling. Beverley's photos do that. They evoke a passionate response. Thank you, Beverley, for being such a wonderful contact, and for finding something of value in my work, which pales by comparison to yours! The encouragement and lack of arrogance, though you have more right to be arrogant than most, is so refreshing! Beverley is a very talented photographer, her landscapes and especially her seascapes are sublime, but her wildlife photography is pretty damn good too. She has a great eye for composition of a landscape, and does a wonderful job capturing the colours and light, this is especially obvious in the stunning sunset seascapes that really are her specialty. Long exposures fit nicely into her favourite seascape genre, and she has a great talent for getting the shutter speed of these just right, so often you see long exposures that are too white and fluffy, but hers are perfect. I am particularly enjoying her Bob Dylan 100x project this year where she is showing not only great photographic and processing skills, but also enormous ingenuity and creativity. There is one thing that I do like more than Beverley’s photographs though and that is being out taking photographs with her.
