I've always loved taking photos, but in the past these were mainly to capture family moments by making, 'visual memories'.

Over the last few years I have fallen in love with the outdoors. It started with cycling originally, (which I loved) but over time this changed to hiking.

I was never a fan of taking my bike on the road anyway, (too dangerous these days) and I realised the part I actually liked....wasn't the cyclying itself, it was the being outdoors part......in the country, on dirt tracks, through woods and over bridges.

Hiking also rekindled my passion for photography and this took me on a 'different' photography journey. Now, in addition to driving family members a little bit insane, I try and capture the beautiful places I visit as well.

So, now I want to share some of what I've seen, in the best way I can and hope that I capture at least a tiny bit of it.

My earliest shots were all taken with my phone camera and while I was very happy with the results initially, the limitations of a phone camera started to gnaw away at me and the inevitable happened......Canon got me!
