A prairie girl at heart, Paula Timm is captivated by the textures of the land and it's colourful characters. She is inspired by contrasts; be it in colour, texture or in the shadows and light. Creative cultivation happens when Paula combines different modalities of art as part of her process- she welcomes a limitless approach to making art.
I was inspired in 2000, with the endless possibilities of combining digital art with a more traditional approach of painting and collage. This is a limitless approach to creating which affords me to be the storyteller, the sculptor and the artist. Paula's new work is a departure, her monochromatic acrylic paintings were inspired by the simplicity of graphite sketches and aims to capture movement, emotion and contrast.
Paula was born in 1973 and is currently practicing her art in Calgary, AB. She is committed to a world where creativity is respected, cherished and expected. Paula is also an art instructor and her mission is to bring art to those with barriers; your creativity is a gift, it can heal, just watch yourself grow.
