Hi, my name is Jackie: I am retired and, for the first time ever, able to immerse my self in all the activities I want, mind you, it is a long list and full of things to learn [photography, history, painting] and, things I enjoy [reading, music, movies]. I am an almost, OCD reader whose books breed in quiet corners and I decorate my home with bookcases. I am currently writing non-fiction books based on all the successful programmes for literacy, numeracy and life-skills I have created. which makes me an Amateur Author. I would like to share with the community the scope of images I have used to break down barriers and foster an interest in learning 'something' and used that as a launch pad introducing reading, writing and arithmetic. All the photos currently shown are not my work but all foster a love of literacy from different perspectives. As for my photography my son gave me a camera and I will identify these but I don't plagiarise other peoples work.
