I live on the North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. I joined Flickr 4 months ago because I was doing a photography course. It took me until last week to realise everybody had a profile and I did too.

I decided I would put something on it when I got time because I often wonder about other photographers and where they come from.

I have a Sony Cyber-shot (8x zoom) and I love it because on my daily walks to the beach I can fit it in my hand and if I am travelling I can put it in a pocket and easily access it to take photos. I have just upgraded to a Sony DSC-WX500 so I have more zoom and can hopefully capture birds. ( The downside is I now need a camera bag. )

My photos make it look like I am obsessed with the beach and flowers but both are easily accessible.I can walk to the beach from home and love to go early in the morning before it is too hot. ( Hence the many photos of sunrises and my local beach.)

Our house backs onto a park and reserve so I have lots of flowers and there are a lot of different gardens on my walk home from the beach.

My husband and I are slowly ticking off a bucket list of places in Australia and overseas when he has holidays but I am really enjoying seeing the variety of pictures on Flickr from all over the world. Many of the places we will never get to see in person.

I am continuing my photography course this year and aiming to capture birds in flight.
