Pour mes douze ans, j'ai reçu mon premier appareil photo, un Kodak Instamatic. Rapidement, ce petit appareil ainsi que son format ne m'a plus convenu. N'étant pas fortuné, mon père m'offrit son vieux Zeiss Ikon 6x9 à soufflet. Ce dernier me permis de m'épanouir et d'apprendre les principes élémentaires de la prise de vue. A 16 ans, j'ai trouvé un job d'étudiant et j'ai acquis une petite liberté financière.Après quelques errements dans des appareils photos peu onéreux, j'ai opté pour la marque Nikon à laquelle je reste fidèle.

Je suis passé du Nikkormat au EL puis au Nikon F et F2. Le passage au numérique s'est réalisé avec le D50 et actuellement un D750. La décision de Nikon d'abandonner peu à peu les réfflex est une aubaine pour moi car on trouve en occasion des objectifs à des prix intéressants.

Malheureusement en 2023 j'ai 68 ans et je suis handicapé des membres inférieurs. Cela limite mes déplacements pour la photographie.
