When I got my first point and shoot camera, I brought it everywhere, trips to Europe, backpacking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, service trips to Africa, basically anywhere outside of my hometown. It got the job done, I would return home with great photos of far away places, but it never did it justice. So the next logical step would be to purchase a DSLR. After some searching around I picked up a refurbished Nikon and immediately became hooked. With my new toy in tow, I continued to take photos of my trips.

It wasn't until after a couple months of taking photos and finally learning all the capabilities of my new camera that I became hooked. I found myself going out after work at 3 am to take night photos, or hiking through 2 feet of snow to get the shot. It dawned on me that photography had quickly become something that meant a lot more to me than just snapping a photo of a dramatic landscape, each photo had a story, and it was the perfect way share my experiences with family and friends.

I have been hoarding hundreds of photographs on my hard drive for almost three years now and I figured this would be a way to showcase some of my favorites, enjoy.
