When I was growing up, my family would go on a camping vacation every summer. My favorite destinations were the National Parks and the great American west. So to me shooting landscapes is a way to share my love of the great outdoors and inspire others to get out and enjoy our beautiful country.

 

I returned to using medium and large format film cameras several years ago as an alternative to digital photography. I enjoy shooting with vintage mechanical film cameras and find it helps me slow down and pay more attention to composition and lighting. I still use my digital cameras most of the time, but I still enjoy shooting film because of the mechanical precision of my vintage film cameras, and the beauty of the film images they produce.
