I developed an interest in photography whilst serving with the British Army in Cyprus, and my knowledge was vastly increased thanks to Paul RG Haley, a ministry of Defence photographer on the staff of Soldier Magazine (the house journal of the British Army).

After some experimenting I finally decided on Canon equipment. I have worked my way through the AE-1, A-1, F-1, EOS 100, EOS 5, EOS 1 until converting to digital with first the EOS 10D and currently the EOS 40D. I use these two cameras in conjunction with Canon's RAW processor - Digital Photo Professional and Photoshop 7.

I have had some experience in many aspects of photography - portraits, weddings, PR, event photography, journalism etc., but would not consider myself an expert as photography is a never ending learning process.

I like to think that I make photographs rather than take them and in order to produce the end result that I have envisioned I have no problem with manipulating in Photoshop.
