I was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, with mountains and wilderness surrounding me. All this changed when I came to Indiana, USA. A beautiful place, but the wilderness is gone, and what is left is bits and pieces, remnants of a treasure that once was.

In 2004 I started out to learn the wildflowers that grew in the nature preserves of North West Indiana, and have come to love this unique blend of habitats, and all of the treasures they hold. To capture and share the moments of these places has been one of my goals. To share it's floral bounty is another. It is also my aim to help those seeking identification of the wildflowers and other wild creatures they see.

I have been taking pictures for over thirty five years, yet 2015 was my first for digital. I have enjoyed learning the simple things about the digital world, and am far from a master of it. It is my hope that all who view these pictures will gain a blessing from them, and be inspired to go out and seek to find these wonders for themselves, or the wonders that are near to them.
