Nottingham born and bred, I took my first photo at the age of 12 when my dad gave me one of his old 35mm camera's, if I remember rightly it was a Paxette. Over the years I've dabbled with photography, not really taking it too seriously, big mistake,
Somewhere along the way I had a change of hobby and photography was forgotten, I rediscovered my love of photography about 20 years ago and haven't looked back since. I'm not a published photographer and haven't sold any shot's as of yet, my one claim to fame at present is having one of my photo's, The Bench at Friars Crag, chosen to be used as the front cover of the 2018 Tourism Brochure for Cumbria.
I mainly shoot Landscapes and Seascapes but I will turn my hand to most subject's, I have a motto that I try to live by
''Take nothing but photographs/memories, leave nothing but footprints''
If I can do this throughout my photographic journey I will feel that I have achieved something.
I'm not a professional photographer, more of an enthusiastic self taught Amateur, being a carer for my disabled wife means that I am sort of restricted in the amount of time and money I can spend on photography, time wise I get out and about probably once or twice a week and usually fairly locally, as for equipment, well I'm sure we'd all like to spend as much as we'd like,
