I've been a plane spotter since I was 6 years old. When I was in second grade, my dad would pick me up from school every Thursday and we would take pictures from the In-N-Out Burger at LAX. I was a nerdy kid growing up, and my appetite to learn everything I could about these magical flying machines was insatiable.

I spent my teenage years putting together a collection of airplane books, magazines, wooden and plastic models, technical journals and operational manuals, pictures and videos, painstakingly organized by registration number or location. I have about 5 shoeboxes worth of prints that will eventually be uploaded and shared here. I was involved in the online flight simulator community - producing sound effect packages for Microsoft Flight Simulator third party products. I was also a member of the American Airlines Mentoring Program. I once piloted a Douglas DC-3 over the California Coast at night. In my professional career I've worked as a private jet charter broker, worked to build an aviation tech startup, and have worked as a consultant to a New York-based air transport company. I'm also a Flight Instructor and Commercial Pilot.

While most people see airplanes and flying as a way to get around, I see the art, science, and beauty in creating the experience of human flight. From the intricacies of airports past and present, to the idiosyncrasies of classic and modern airplanes. I took my first flight at 18 months old. I have flown on over 25 different models, on 20+ airlines (some of which no longer exist), over a half-million miles, so far. I book flights based on airplane type. Sometimes I fly somewhere for the weekend just to enjoy the experience of flying.

The pictures and videos posed here are the product of a father-son hobby that spans 20+ years, and has been passed down 3 generations.
