Essex County Council manages many country parks and heritage sites, including habitats from coastal marshes to ancient woodland.

Our parks are a valuable resource managed for their wildlife and the people who enjoy them. Some are nationally important sites for rare species and for recreation and leisure, such as cycling, horse riding, walking, kite flying, birdwatching, picnics and fishing.
