I often take my compact camera to work with me for lunch time trips to the river Thames; the amount of bird species and wildlife is remarkable considering the rather urban nature of the river at that point. Just because it's not the countryside doesn't mean there isn't wildlife to be spotted, not everyone remembers to look for it though.

Opportunistic photography - because rainbows don't last forever. You can plan for the perfect pic as much as you like, but sometimes you just have to seize the moment.
