The BLM manages more than 18.4 million acres of public lands and 40.7 million acres of federal mineral estate in Wyoming.
In addition to supporting world-class wildlife and recreation resources, BLM Wyoming-administered public lands contain exceptional energy and mineral resources, which are crucial to the nation. In fiscal year 2017, the diverse activities authorized on BLM Wyoming-managed lands generated $18.4 billion in economic output across the state. This economic activity supported 76,400 jobs and more than $5 billion in labor income within the State of Wyoming.
