I have been interested in the valley history since I was a child. As an adult I began seriously researching the valley history based on oral histories. But after finding significant issues with the oral histories (some had wrong date, some wrong names/locations, and some were almost completely fantasy when compared with period documentation), I began to research the history from scratch using only period documentation. Photographs, newspapers, surveys, maps, legal documents, court records, etc. all come into play to weave the rich anf full tapestry of this wonderful little valley.

I do periodic public speaking appearances and provide support for projects that involve our history.
