German ex-architect, now living in Brisbane, Australia. When I left my home country in October 2012 I travelled extensively in Asia and a bit in New Zealand while waiting for the approval of my Australian visa as permanent resident. I started a travel blog and enjoyed to accompany my posts with a few photos. I got passionate about photography, watched tutorials about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150, my mega zoom camera, and photography in general. In December 2014 I stepped up my game by investing in a full-frame mirrorless Sony A7ii and slowly expanded my lens collection. I loved photography so much that I founded my own photography business in 2015 and did my first portrait shoots with strangers. Later on I worked for a photography business as design concierge before becoming self-employed as product photographer for Amazon sellers.

Equipment used for my photos:
CAMERAS:
Panasonic FZ 2000 ( travel megazoom camera, which replaced my beloved FZ150 which I lost on the backseat of a taxi in Beijing, China)
Sony A7II (my current work horse)
LENSES
For extreme landscapes and tight indoor spots:
Samyang 12mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS Fish-eye
Standard landscape and group shot lens:
Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens SEL1635Z
Resolution and sharpness are okay, but not mindblowing. Good allrounder, medium weight, preferrably used for landscapes/cityscapes.
Kit lens - used it only for 1 wedding when I needed the flexibility of a zoom lens:
Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens SEL2870
My favourite allrounder with crazy sharpness and awesome colour rendering:
Sony Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Lens SEL55F18Z
light weight, not too big, punchy colours, quick autofocus....what's not to like? ...Maybe the price, but here it's true: you get what you pay for.
Macro and portrait lens - great resolution and sharpness:
Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens SEL90M28G
Favourite manual focus lens: Samyang 135mm, F/2.0
Unbelievably sharp and fun to work with. I use it mainly for portraits and love the bokeh.
It is bulky and heavy (830g) but in terms of value for money (I paid AUD 570.00 incl. shipping) the best 135mm lens money can buy.
Vintage lens used with a FOTGA M42-NEX adapter. Aperture blades are stuck and it is unable to focus at infinity - however, I like the retro look:
Revuenon 135mm f/2.8
This lens made me want to own a fully functional 135mm lens...and almost 2 years later I upgraded to the Samyang 135mm F/2.0 (see above)
FLASH
Yongnuo Speedlight YN560 IV
(cheap, powerful and reliable, although it does not sit well on the hot shoe of the Sony A7II)
FLASH TRANSMITTER
Yongnuo RF605N (has more functions than I need - easy to use, reliable)
REFLECTOR
FOTGA 43''/110cm collapsible 5 in 1 Reflector - cheap, versatile and good quality.
TRIPOD
Sirui T-005BX in blue (1.04kg light travel tripod. The twist-lock legs are sometimes a bit annoying - I prefer click-log legs, but
in general it does a good job)
