I did have another Flicker which was "Standing in the Shadows" but for some reason I can't access it and the help teem at Yahoo told me that best I could do is start a new Flicker so here it is same name with the last "s" left off.
I have been taking pictures a very long time but not in any regularity. You see, I have a lazy streak when it comes to photography. I would put off and put off and then shoot a bunch. I would use excuse, it was too cold, too wet, I was to tired, nothing to shoot … and so on! A while back I decided I was going to shoot a photo a day and then let my friends know about it. At first is was very hard, you know … it was too cold, too wet, I was to tired, nothing to shoot … and so on, but if I missed a day I got the worse hazing you could imagine. After a while it became easer, I started seeing images everywhere and I think my work was getting better. Friends got interested and started asking me how I did this or that so I started adding a description, now that was hard part!
Technically speaking my images and processing is very simple. I try to compose in camera and never crop more than 5%. My rule for post processing is if I can reproduce the technique with regular darkroom practices it is fair game. If it is within the limits of RAW then it is fair game.

Aside from being good friends I find Grant to be a consummate photographer with years of experience, and from whom I've learned so much! In the four years we've known each other, I daresay I've learned more about the art and techniques of photography from Grant than I had learned in all my years prior. I still have a long way to go to match Grant's skills, but then the journey is everything! I remain his "Grasshopper" and he my "Jedi Master!"
