While I'm in my leather work shop, my day goes like this...

cut...pound...(Rosie! Get out of the rabbit litter!)...carve...bevel...(ROSIE! GET OUT OF BRIAN'S LITTER!)...more beveling...this is great I'm in the zone...(ROSIE!!!!!!)...Finally, I get up and put a gate in front of Brian's litter to stop the madness (see Rosies mugshot above). Then I go back to buffing...dyeing...buffing...coating with resolene...and getting ready to stitch. At this point I move into the living room and watch TV while I poke the needle through pre-made holes in the leather and puuuuuull it the rest of the way through with a small pair of needle nose pliers. Occasionally, a cat will insinuate itself onto my lap and proceed to think clawing at the nylon sinew is great fun. So then it goes something like this...poke the needle through the leather and pull (stop it!)...move the sinew so it's harder for the cat to reach...again...(ouch!! got caught with a claw)...pull some more...(dangit! ouch!!!) dump the cat onto the floor and fend off anymore snuggling attempts.

When I'm not doing leather work, I am driving all over the countryside providing speech therapy for a home health company. I really like the freedom and I'm not cooped up in a therapy gym all day.
