Though Spain has at least three times as many species of Odonata as I have locally, and if you count males and females as distinct as they are in no other insect families, Spain (and you, Pipa) have six times the possible number of these beauties that she can capture. It's no wonder that she doesn't run out of subject matter. However, I have been following Pipa for four or five years, and she is such an outstanding insect photographer because of her skill and dedication. She could probably do just as well with a Kodak Brownie Box Camera from 1947 (MY very first camera ). I do not speak Spanish: I don't have to. Pipa's images speak for themselves, and her talent would probably be as great no matter what equipment she'd use. As I have often said when I comment, her composition is fantastic and her settings always spot on. She could make a house fly a thing of beauty. I'm honored that she has followed me and, unlike so many Flickr photographers who "follow" 10,000, she follows a manageable number and has a select number who follow her. I look forward to her posts almost daily. One day, I may be able to identify 10% of the species she has captured.
