I don't really hate rubber boots, of course. Indeed, I've been totally obsessed by them my entire life. But it's fun to walk about in public--not just in my boots--but with the ironic statement "I HATE RUBBER BOOTS" plastered across my chest. It provokes comments & reactions from passersby, which always proves to be exciting for me. I feel like a tourist attraction--what with the many strangers coming up to me & requesting my picture.
