A degree educated, independent full-time artist with a studio at Elfordleigh, near Plymouth UK .An associate member of the South West Academy, I exhibit fairly regularly and have customers throughout the UK. The majority of my work has evolved from the activity of walking the tracks and trails of Devon and Cornwall with Dartmoor National Park being my main catalyst. Over a period of 35 years I've repeated many walks and come to know the places intimately using the camera as a sketchbook or visual reminder of places. There are occasions where the image caught on the camera stands on its own and other times I use them as a starting point to paint an emotional response.

I have experimented over a period of twenty years to develop a visual language thats my own, to add something rather than imitating or parodying.
