Je suis Vincent, entre Chartres et Rambouillet, je viens tout juste de dépasser 60 piges, et je pratique la photographie depuis 40 ans. J'ai connu le Minolta XG-M, le Nikon FE, et le Nikon FE-2. Puis j'ai un peu arrêté pendant quelques années, et j'ai vendu mes boîtiers et mes optiques. Aujourd'hui c'est un Nikon Z8, le Z35mm f/1.8 et le Z85mm f/1.8, et un Fuji XT-5, avec le XF23mm et le XF56mm. Beaucoup de mes photos sont des diapos et des négatifs numérisés, pris entre 1982 et 2000. Je les publies avec l'idée que ce sont des témoignages d'un temps passé qui n'a plus rien à voir avec notre époque, qui ne reviendra jamais...

La photo est pour moi un moyen de montrer autant que possible que la réalité peut-être belle, et qu'on peut en révéler la beauté, une ambiance, une lumière, à condition de savoir regarder...C'est aussi un moyen de témoigner de son temps, c'est pour cette raison, principalement, que je publie beaucoup de photos prises entre 1982 et 2000. Dans les années 90, je vivais et je travaillais dans le milieu de la photographie. J'étais responsable d'un minilab à Paris, et je vivais 24h/24 avec mon boîtier, le FE2 (boîtier que j'avais racheté à mon frère, extraordinaire de praticité, de robustesse et d'efficacité, véritable machine à prendre des photos...J'ai jamais eu mieux). Je me suis calmé vers le début des années 2000. Aujourd'hui je m'y suis remis, avec une approche orientée vers le paysage...

Je suis attaché à Nikon depuis 1993 ou j'ai racheté le FE de mon frère et ensuite le FE-2. J'aime bien Nikon, mais je ne voue pas non plus de culte à cette marque. Canon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus...font aussi bien que Nikon. Surtout n'allez pas imaginer que je roule sur l'or parce que j'ai du matériel hors de prix. Ce matériel va durer au minimum 10 ans, et je suis juste passionné...

Mes influences sont les photographes de photographie vernaculaire (Martin Parr, Elliott Erwitt, Stephen Shore, etc...), les coloristes comme Eliot Porter, Ernest Haas, Harry Gruyaert ou Joël Meyerowitz. Je prends aussi pas mal de photos topgraphiques, aussi nettes et précises que possible. Pour le paysage, la macro et la nature, des livres photos dédiés à ce sujet ( National Geographic, Landscape Photographer of the Year, Wildlife Photographer of the Year, etc...). Tous ces livres ont éduqué mon oeil...

Je partage amicalement mes photos avec vous, en toute modestie et sans prétention, et je me régale en voyant les vôtres. Certaines d'entre elles sont vraiment fabuleuses. Quelques-uns d'entre vous sont de très bons photographes ! Amicalement à vous !

I am Vincent, a guy that just exceed the 60 years, in the Rambouillet aera, France. I practice photography for over 45 years. Photography is for me a way to show as much as possible that reality can be beautiful, and can show the beauty, an ambience or a special light, provided you know how to look... It’s also a way to reflect on your time. This is the principal reason why I publish many photos taken from 1982 to 2003. In the 90's, I lived and worked in photography. I was responsible for a minilab in Paris, and I lived 24h/ 24 with my housing, the FE2 (housing that I had bought from my brother, extraordinary practicality, robustness and efficiency, real machine to take pictures...I have never had better). I calmed down in the early 20's. Today, I’ve got back to it with a landscape-oriented approach...

I have been attached to Nikon since 1991 where I bought my brother’s FE and then the FE-2 in 1994. I like Nikon, but I don’t worship this brand either. Canon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Leica...do as well as Nikon. Please don't imagine I have much money because I have expensive equipment. This equipment will last for years, and I'm just passionate.

My influences are the vernacular photography (Martin Parr, Elliott Erwitt, Stephen Shore etc...), colorists such as Eliot Porter, Ernest Haas, Harry Gruyaert, or Joel Meyerowitz). I take too topographic photos, I like this kind of photography, as sharp and accurate as possible. For landscapes, macro and nature, photo books dedicated to this subject ( National Geographic, Landscape Photographer of the Year, Wildlife Photographer of the Year...). I will add that all this books have educated my eye...
