My name is Walter and I was born in the middle of the last century in the «Altfryen Republik» Gersau on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. Here I went to school and spent the first twenty years of my life. My path led me to Zurich at the beginning of the 70's; here I spent my professional career and today I live in Zurich's agglomeration. I have professional expertise in marketing in the electronics and IT industry, in which I held various professional and management positions in Sales and Integrated Market Communication.

I have been involved in photography since 1966 and have always been fascinated by the world of images, their deliberate composition and their expressive power. My technical background makes it easier for me to grasp and understand the underlying theory. Books by Andreas Feininger or Harald Mante`s «Color and Form» were formative for my photographic understanding. Even though today my bookshelf is dominated by modern literature on the subject.
