My initial interest in the underwater world dates back to when I was a lad, watching the documentaries of the french undersea explorer, researcher and photographer Jacques Cousteau. The first time I had the chance to experience this wonder for myself was around 1985 in the Red Sea, Egypt while i was travelling, hanging out in Dahab, then just a tiny collection of grass huts on the beach. Since then i’ve had the opportunity to dive in Indonesia, Key West USA, Italy, Thailand and the Philippines. It was only in 2014 on a dive trip to Puerto Galera that I took my camera with me underwater for the first time and created the Flickr page Eye Dive Images to post the results.
