We take pictures of things that are important to us. We capture our family and friends gatherings, children, travels and record the significant moments where something stuck us. For many of us this is the documenting our lives, the good times, the major moments, recording our experiences and sharing them with others.

The still image freezes the moment and all the details for further exploration. It allows us to seize a moment connected with a feeling, or with a place where we were impacted by something we saw. Pictures help us remember. They become our emotional diary. Photos transmit our moods, feelings and impressions.

I still can’t make a good picture. Often I am out of focus, sharpness, exposure. Very often my pictures are taken just on auto mode, but sometimes I feel utterly lucky to be on the right moment, in the right place. On those rare days I can take a picture that I absolutely treasure, however, to you it may be of no interest at all.

At present I am in the process of learning a common engineering of photography and basic photo taking rules in order to break some of them later ;) My sincere wish is to be able to capture a feeling, to express what I intended initially, to shoot on instinct and get a desirable result I could enjoy. In other words - to pass from taking pictures to capturing emotions.
