I have been using cameras as tools to investigate the earth, and to enjoy life with my family, friends and colleagues as well.

In the first lesson of photography, I learned how to treat and develop monochromatic films.

When I obtained my first digital camera which could shoot 300 thousand pixel images for my job, I felt certain that it was not for artistic work but just for recording or using as a toy.

In 20 years, the accuracy and reliability of digital cameras have been dramatically improved, enabling anybody to easily enjoy photography.

I miss the smell of developing and fixing solutions, but I never want to return to the old photography.

Thus I take one of my cameras always in my pocket or bag.
