SharmPhotography are a company born out of two loves; love for the underwater world and love of photography.

The company’s founders, Cigdem & Sean Cooper, have lived in Sharm el-Sheikh for eight years. Sean is a diving instructor and one of the owners of a diving centre based in Naama Bay, Dive Africa Sharm. Sean originally came from the UK to work as a dive guide but discovered a hereto unknown passion for underwater photography. Cigdem, originally from Istanbul where she worked in television production, found herself drawn to Egypt’s Sinai where its contrast of seemingly barren desert and myriad of life and colours in the sea proved too alluring.

SharmPhotography has two aims: i) to encourage people to explore and document the wonderful world beneath Egypt’s Red Sea and ii) to enable anyone to develop their photography techniques and skills, above or below the water.

We believe that an image should make people stop, think and, for a moment, transport them to that moment.
