Biography

Prof.Dr Yaşar Özgök is the Chief of Urology Department at Gülhane Military Medical Faculty in Ankara-Turkey. After he graduated from medical school he completed his post graduate and residency in urology, then he worked at various military institutions as a urologist. He took variety of courses under the leadership of world famous urologists in different institutions world wide. He has started Laparoscopy in Urology in Turkey and conducted courses and seminars with the collaboration of Turkish Urology Association and Prof. Dr. Inderbir Gill in 2003. He has highly qualified and experienced urology members in his team with whom he conducted total of 39 İnternational Advanced and Applied Laparoscopy Course and Seminars, more than 15 e-blus courses so far in various countries. Along with his many publications he has authored the book “Laparoscopy in Urology”. He has taken part in many international congresses and he is assigned as the president of Urologic Laparoscopy Course which will be conducted by his team in the World Endourology Congress, 2012. His particular area of interests in urology are Laparoscopic and robotic surgery, urologic oncology and infertility.
