One part of me is as you see here.
Brief history. Started with mum's items from the airing cupboard at about age 4 (certainly by the age of 5): in fact, if asked, I would have to say I do not remember a time when I didn't dress in women's clothing. Progressed in sophistication at home until I outgrew my mum's shoes: a sad day. Very slow to get my own wardrobe: communal living associated with military service meant I had to bury this deep. Married, but kept it a secret (Mrs P, I am truly sorry for that) out of fear: I had frightened off several girlfriends. Eventually told Mrs Parker. We tried to do it together - I loved your afternoon tea surprise sat on our front terrace in full view together - but we settled on me dressing when apart.
Brief explanation. Humans are complex.
Would love a better wardrobe, but where would I wear it? And can I justify the cost? I think I'll have to make do with 'dressy' from charity shops as I dream of a femininity beyond my reach.
Favourite T saying: After a hard day at work I just love to come home and slip into something a little more uncomfortable.
Many thanks to the many wonderful posters here on flickr. Style, elegance, beauty; all of you are inspirational. I thank you heartily for the support and comfort that your presence - however distant in reality - brings me.
