The countryside and coast are my first love, with churches, quintessentially English villages and transport coming a close second.

Started off with a Kodak 110. My first SLR was a Praktica, I was shown how to use it by Barry Taft from Derby, he gave me a sound foundation.

Tottered around with Canon SLR's for a few years mainly photographing vehicles.

Many of the early photos on here are results from my iPhone 5 with various editing apps. Later ones are Nikon Coolpix 20MP compact.

Starting a relationship this month (Oct 2015) with my first 'big boys' Nikon.
