Photos to me should make a statement; whether it be a comment on society or life, i feel art is a mechanism for expressing my own opinions and how I interpret the world, and hopefully that's expressed in my images.

Brought up as a bit of a hippie child, I've always had a love for nature, music and culture. Currently studying A level photography, chemistry and biology - with ambitions of doing marine biology in the future; my life is a balance of studying, eating, listening to music, meditating, eating some more and a tonne of general procrastination thrown in for good measure.

I love documentary photography and originally got into photography after seeing Steve McCurry's 'Afghan girl' photo. In the past year I have started exploring the use of more conceptual stuff, with abstract ideas and images.

Biggest inspiration will forever be Don McCullin.
