Storytelling has been a keen interest of mine for as long as I can remember, so filmmaking always felt like the natural career for me to explore.
But I've always had a strong passion for beautiful images. And wished that one day I would find a way to explore photography as a hobby.
And that really is what photography is for me at this stage, a passionate hobby. It feeds directly into my exploration of filmmaking, and is wonderfully theraputic. It's often an incredibly freeing experience - I'm often working as a 'one-man-band' when I shoot smaller films, and am always ladened down with hideous amounts of equipment and lots of techical procedures / methods to follow.
Oddly, the first time my interest peaked was using an iPhone camera. Many people would discount iPhone Photography as not being a relevant art form. I would whole heartedly disagree. These cameras have advanced wonderfully, along with a fantastic selection of photo editing Apps.
I also own a Canon 60D (which I also use for filmmaking) and a Black Magic Cinema Camera. Soon I hope to upgrade to a full-frame (maybe a Nikon).
I hope you enjoy my photography as much as I have enjoyed capturing and editing the images.
