A little bit about me. I’ve been taking pictures since 1976. I am self-taught, learning from books, my mistakes (like not using 1/60 of a second to shoot everything) and learning from other photographers along the way.

I started out shooting with a 35 mm film camera using a used Zeiss Ikon as my first camera then when that broke I bought a used mamiya/sekor 500 dtl. In 2002 I bought my first digital camera a canon powershot A10. Then in 2006 my wife bought me for Father’s day a Fuji FiinePix S5200. In 2007 I bought a Fuji 610 to carry in my pocket for when I didn’t have the Fuji Fine Pix and then I dropped it in the water. In 2009 I bought a Polaroid A801 to carry in my pocket in case I didn’t have the FinePix with me.

Finally, I “graduated” in 2012 to a Canon Eos Rebel T3. Then in 2015 I bought a Canon Eos Rebel T5. I bought this so I wouldn’t have to keep changing from the 18-55mm lens to the 75-300 mm lens. I could keep one lens for close shots on the one camera and one lens for telephoto shots on the other camera.

My wife and I enjoy going to Wildwood Lake in Harrisburg Pa and also to Conowingo Dam in Maryland. Both places offer a variety of wildlife picture taking opportunities, from the flowers, songbirds and butterflies to the herons, egrets, and the majestic bald eagle.

Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoy my photos.
